A complex interplay of climate change, loss of insect populations, habitat loss, and pesticide use have all contributed to their decline.

Here are five things you can do at home or school to support insect populations and our environment.

  1. Turn off unnecessary lights at night

  2. Reduce pesticide and insecticide use

  3. Create a compost pile and areas in your yard for leaves and sticks to decay

  4. Plant native plants

  5. Support local environmental groups such as GSCM or another org present at this event
